About
I am a Ph.D. researcher in Energy Engineering at ICARE (CNRS) in Orléans, France, working at the intersection of combustion science, hydrogen energy, and optical diagnostics. My doctoral research develops non-intrusive sensing techniques for hydrogen flames, combining high-fidelity numerical modelling with advanced experimental diagnostics.
My thesis, “Assessment of OH* as a flame marker in premixed H₂–air flames,” investigates the relationship between OH* radical chemiluminescence and heat-release rate to validate OH* as a reliable flame-front marker. By correlating experimental diagnostic data with detailed chemical-kinetics modelling, I identify the chemical pathways governing OH* formation under varying conditions — work that supports the development of robust, non-intrusive sensors for clean hydrogen combustion.
Background
Before my doctorate, I spent several years applying combustion and process engineering in industry. As an R&D Combustion Engineer at Fives European Combustion Centre (Italy), I developed low-NOx and ultra-low-NOx burners — planning test campaigns, running HAZOP and risk analyses, and characterising emissions across a range of fuels including steam-diluted and CO₂-injected conditions. Earlier, as an Assistant Manager (Technical Services) at Zuari Agro Chemical Limited (India), I supported ammonia, urea, power, and water-treatment plants through material and energy balances, equipment sizing, bottleneck analysis, and energy audits.
I hold an M.Sc. in Energy Engineering from Politecnico di Milano and a B.E. in Chemical Engineering from Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, and I work across the full chain from experiment to simulation.
