Detailed characterization of OH* chemiluminescence in a spherically expanding premixed H₂–air flame

This study experimentally and numerically characterizes OH* radical chemiluminescence in spherically expanding premixed H₂–air flames. By examining the relationship between the OH* signal and the heat-release rate, the work validates OH* as a reliable, non-intrusive flame-front marker for hydrogen combustion and identifies the chemical pathways governing OH* formation under varying conditions.
